Amjad Abu Alala
AMJAD ABU ALALA (*1980) ist ein sudanesischer Regisseur und Produzent. Er studierte Medien- und Kommunikationswissenschaften an der Emirates University, realisierte mehrere Dokumentarfilme fürs Fernsehen und vier Kurzfilme. Mit „You Will Die at Twenty“ gibt er sein Spielfilmdebüt, das bei den Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Venedig und beim Toronto Film Festival gezeigt wurde. Der Film war Sudans erster Beitrag für den Oscar 2021 als bester internationaler Film.
