Heike (59) works as a site manager in the commercial cleaning sector and acts as a liaison between clients, company management and cleaning staff on a daily basis. Contrary to regulations, she tried to poach a worker from a subcontractor who was not officially registered. Now he is threatening to stop helping out in future – unless he is given more hours and a higher pay rate. In order to meet these demands, Heike finds herself increasingly caught in a conflict between her responsibility towards her own staff and the harsh conditions of the low-wage sector.

KILIAN ARMANDO FRIEDRICH studierte Darstellende Künste in Hildesheim und Madrid, anschließend Filmregie mit Schwerpunkt Dokumentarfilm in München und Mexiko-Stadt. Sein Dokumentarfilm „Atomnomaden“ feierte 2023 Premiere auf der Berlinale und wurde mit dem Deutschen Kurzfilmpreis in der Kategorie mittellanger Film ausgezeichnet. Darüber hinaus arbeitet er als Medienpädagoge an interkulturellen Filmprojekten. „Ich verstehe Ihren Unmut“ ist sein Spielfilmdebüt.
