Emden Actor’s Award for Karoline Herfurth

German actress Karoline Herfurth will be honored with the Emden Actor’s Award at 27th International Filmfest Emden-Norderney for her outstanding achievements in German film. The Emden Actor’s Award is connected with a special series of six films starring and representing the honoured artist. The Emden Acting Award has a purse of € 5,000, provided by the Dirks Group Emden. Karoline Herfurth has worked with renowned German directors like Tom Tykwer (“The Story of a Murderer”), Caroline Link (“A Year Ago In Winter”) and Hans Christian Schmid (“Crazy”). She also appeared in international productions like Stephen Daldry’s “The Reader” or Brian DePalma’s “Passion”. In Germany, Karoline Herfurth owns the status of a popular idol, starring in box office hits like “Suck Me Shakespeere”, “Vincent Wants to Sea” and “The Pasta Detectives”. Film critics identified Karoline Herfurth, who is now working on her debut as a feature film director “SMS for you”, as one of the few young German actors with the potential to become a great cinematic star. She will be present at the 27th International Filmfest Emden-Noerderney to receive the Emden Actor’s Award June 5th at Neues Theater Emden.
